Please position the news.xml file in the same folder as your fla project file. Save it at the same directory as your fla file, naming it as news.xml. Now, the first step to load the xml file, we use the following code:

ATTENTION: Every time you define a variable, you must identify which kind of variable is.
In this code we indetify the variable xmlLoader bwhich elongs to the URLLoader class (xmlLoader:URLLoader), and the xmlData is the type XML (xmlData:XML). When we load the data is, we must mention to the code where to go. The xmlLoader.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, LoadXML) is an event. In translation "when loading of data is completed, then run the function LoadXML".
Now is the time to create the list. Simple. Drag a List component into stage, and name it my_list.
in the next step will define which data we want to show in the List component, and do the parsing into the list.
